Study Spaces at Dana

The following Dana Medical Library rooms are available for UVM and UVM Medical Center affiliates seeking a place to hold short-term individual or collaborative study sessions.

Large Group Study - Room 105 - Conference Room

Capacity: 12+ people

This Conference Room is ideal for a large group seeking a place to hold short-term collaborative study sessions. Room is equipped with a white board, power, Ethernet, the ability to connect a laptop to the LCD 40" screen with sound, one desktop with Windows 10, Office 2016 and USB flash drive port, and a table that seats 8 with additional capacity as the room allows. Preference is given to groups; individuals must give up the room if requested by a group.

You may schedule meetings for two hours at a time, up to two weeks in advance. Time may also be reserved on the same day by using the daily calendar posted on the Conference Room door.

Group Study - Room L120 F

Capacity: 5+ people

Room is equipped with a white board, power, and Ethernet access, a wall-mounted monitor with the ability to connect a laptop, and a table that seats 5 with additional capacity as the room allows.

Room F can only be reserved by a group (two or more people).

The room can be reserved on the day of use only. Call or stop by the Main Desk on the day to reserve time. Come to the Main Desk to check out a key. You will need your UVM or UVM Medical Center ID. The group study room may be used for a period of two hours and renewed as long as the room is not reserved by someone else

Group Study - Rooms L120 C, D, and E

Capacity: 2-3 people

All rooms are equipped with a white board, power, and Ethernet access. Room E has a wall-mounted monitor with the ability to connect a laptop.

The small study rooms can be reserved on the day of use only. Call or stop by the Main Desk on the day to reserve time. Come to the Main Desk to check out a key. You will need your UVM or UVM Medical Center ID. The group study rooms may be used for a period of two hours and renewed as long as the room is not reserved by someone else.

Quiet Study Area

Capacity: 62 people

This glassed-in area is furnished with individual study carrels, large tables, and comfortable seating.

The Quiet Study Area is available to all LCOM and declared CNHS students. Swipe your UVM CATCard for access.

Classroom - Room 108

Capacity: 18+ people

You may study in this room when it is not reserved.

The Dana Medical Library teaching classroom is a multi-use facility dedicated to the support of teaching and learning in the LCOM, CNHS, and other UVM affiliated groups.

The room contains an instructor station equipped with Windows 7, Office 2013, CD-RW and USB flash drive port, an overhead projector and screen, and a large white board. Preference is given to Dana Medical Library faculty and staff, departments in College of Medicine or College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and then other UVM or UVM affiliated departments.
