07/30/20 Update: UVM Libraries offers curbside service five days a week, Monday through Friday. Read the details and instructions below. Thanks to a new curbside pickup and drop-off service at Howe Library, UVM students, faculty, staff, and guest borrowers now have expanded access to the University's physical collection.
The University of Vermont seeks a director of Collection Development and Acquisitions to lead the University Libraries’ collections program.
During the COVID-19 crisis, many publishers are temporarily opening up access to their online research resources. The UVM Libraries are working to provide trials to select resources and to expand access to some of our current online holdings for UVM affiliates, as well as promoting open access resources. Together, these resources provide access to a large number of the books on our physical shelves.
Though the UVM Libraries remain closed to in-person visitors, all borrowed books and DVDs may be returned using the Howe Library book drop. Borrowed media equipment may be returned to Howe Library by appointment, using our socially distanced curbside service. Please do not leave materials unattended outside library buildings.
Howe Library, Dana Medical Library, and Silver Special Collections Library buildings are closed, but essential services remain available, including research assistance, reference help, instructional services, and scanning and document delivery service. Check the Howe Library website, Dana Medical Library website, and Silver Special Collections Library website for additional information.
UVM affiliates working on academic and/or research projects may pick up Howe Library books, Dana Medical Library books, DVDs, and media equipment by appointment using curbside service.
As you know, the University of Vermont’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been evolving as circumstances in the state change. As we as a community adjust to these changes, Dana Medical Library would like to reassure students, faculty, researchers, and staff that the library is still available to assist the Medical Education community with their information needs.
Presented by Patient Choices Vermont and Dana Medical Library, join us for a panel discussion January 28, 5 - 6:30 pm, in the Larner Classroom: Medical Aid in Dying: The Story of One Man's Choice Reflections from the patient's family and doctor.
In partnership with the Reach Out and Read (ROR) program and UVM Medical Center Pediatrics and Family Medicine Departments, Dana Medical Library will be hosting a children’s book drive. Drop off new and gently used books by December 20th.
The University of Vermont Libraries seeks an energetic and collaborative librarian as Director of Dana Medical Library to advance our vision. Visit the UVM job board to learn more and apply.
