Denise Hersey Appointed Director of Dana Medical Library

We are thrilled to announce that Denise Hersey has accepted the position of Director of Dana Medical Library at the University of Vermont. Ms. Hersey comes to us with 20+ years of professional library and management experience. She is currently the Director of the Lewis Science Library at Princeton University. Previously, Ms. Hersey was the Assistant Director of Clinical Information Services at Cushing/Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. Before that, she was a Clinical Support Librarian and a Librarian for Liaison Activities at Cushing/Whitney Medical Library for 11 years.

Ms. Hersey’s combined experience spans the depth and breadth of academic science and health science librarianship and checks every box of required and recommended qualifications for this position. Amassing an impressive list of academic and scholarly accomplishments that includes a long list of presentations and publications, grants and awards won, as well as professional memberships and committees, we have deemed her a perfect fit to be Dana’s Director.

Ms. Hersey will begin as Director of Dana Medical Library in August 2020. Please join us in welcoming her to the UVM community.
